“Wine is the liquid of love, the fluid of folly, the elixir of elation, and the fuel that awesome celebrations run on.” – James Loram, Wedding Songs Timeline Planner.

There’s no reason why you can’t incorporate the bottle into your decor, such as having wine bottle centerpieces for your affair.  Using wine bottle centerpieces for wedding celebration decorations is not only a fun trend, but also a great way to tell your guests to eat, drink, and be merry!

The wine bottle centerpieces for weddings can be made up very easily by you or a crafty friend.  There are a few different ways to create the wine bottle centerpiece.  Here are some of the most popular and attractive.

Flower Wine Bottle Centerpiece

As typical for any centerpieces for weddings, incorporating flowers are almost de rigueur.  There’s no question that flowered wine bottle centerpieces are the most requested.  In this situation, you will most likely need to incorporate more than one bottle in your display and here’s why.  It is hard to fit more than one or two stems into a wine bottle opening.  Unless you are going for a minimalistic or sparse look, I highly recommend going with a group of bottles.  See the pic below as an example.

Candle Wine Bottle Centerpieces

These are very simple to make, although the look incredible.  I know what you’re thinking. How did they get that darn candle down into the bottle?  All you need is a bottle cutter and cut off the bottom of the bottle!  Some people like to replace the cut out piece after inserting the candle.  wine bottle centerpieces for wedding, wine bottle centerpieces for weddings, wine bottle centerpiece, centerpieces for weddings, wine bottle centerpieces, centerpieces for wedding receptionsThis is fine as long as you know you can light the candle through the bottle top opening.  By gluing the cut out piece back onto the bottom, you won’t be able to replace the candle.  This makes the candle a one-time use item.  If you give the centerpiece away (which I highly recommend!) you should simply place the bottom back on or just leave it away entirely. Also, if you do give away the candle wine bottle centerpieces, be sure you sand the cut glass edges!  It would be sad if one of your guests got slashed from your gift!

Lighted Wine Bottle Centerpieces

We are not talking about those Tiki torches you see at beach parties.  The lighted centerpieces for wedding receptions are not flaming torches of glass.  All you need are those battery-operated Christmas lights that you can slide into the top opening.  Of course, you will need to add some other embellishments to this style or you will look like you, well, simply stuffed some lights in a bottle!

This last style of centerpiece is a very popular one as the guests get one or two actual bottles of wine to take home with them at the end of the night!  Again, the wine bottles are the center of a more elaborately designed arrangement.  Now, there’s no reason why you can’t use elements from all of the above, but remember that less is more, and elegance is simple. Have fun making or creating your own wine bottle centerpieces for weddings!
